3.5 Inch Lift Kit Jeep Wrangler YJ 87-95 by BDS Suspension

OVERVIEW

Designed to improve stance, performance, and capability. BDS Suspension has designed this 3.5-inch lift kit for your 1987-1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ. This kit includes everything necessary to set your truck up right with clearance for up to 33" tires.

This 3.5-inch lift kit includes front and rear Glide-Ride leaf springs with new u-bolts, front and rear track bar relocation brackets to center the axle, brake line brackets, power steering pitman arm, bump stop extensions, and a transfer case drop kit to ease the drive line angles. Round out this kit with specially tuned NX2 nitro series gas shocks to offer improved damper performance.

Glide-Ride Leaf Springs

Built to outperform, BDS engineered the Glide-Ride leaf springs into a multi-leaf progressive spring rate design that provides a smooth ride with any load. This is accomplished with an exclusive triple-stage leaf spring design. These spring feature tapered leafs, anti-friction pads, bolt style leaf alignment clamps and a full military wrap to protect your spring eyes from the rocks. Upgrading to BDS Glide-Ride leaf springs will provide flexibility throughout the suspension cycle.

Rear Lift Option

Select the appropriate rear springs based on the weight of your vehicle and hard top vs. soft top.

• Light Duty Leaf Springs - Use these light-duty springs if you have a soft top and plan to either run with the stock spare or no spare at all.
• Heavy Duty Leaf Springs - Use these springs if you plan to run additional weight beyond the stock spare and a soft top. A must for hard top applications and will still ride great when you take your hard top off.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. May require driveshaft lengthening for 13" (u-joint to u-joint) driveshaft.
2. May require larger diameter driveshaft if equipped with a 41-1/2" front driveshaft.
3. Extended shackles recommended to clear military wrap.
4. Models with accessories like hardtop, rear tire carrier, roof rack etc., should use #004351 springs on front and rear.
5. When combining lifted shackles with a 3.5" suspension system, a tail shaft eliminator kit and a "CV" style rear driveshaft may be required to eliminate driveline vibration.
6. Pitman arms will NOT fit Yj models equiped with manual steering.
